CarLog is a vehicle logging application. This Privacy Policy explains what information CarLog stores and how Google user data is handled when the optional Google Drive backup feature is used.
CarLog can store vehicle information, odometer readings, refuels or electric recharges, maintenance records, costs, notes and reminders. This information is primarily stored locally on your device.
If you use Google Drive backup, CarLog uses Google Sign-In to authenticate your Google account and obtain the access needed for the backup feature.
When enabled, CarLog creates and accesses a CarLog backup file in Google Drive application data storage (appDataFolder). CarLog uses the Google Drive drive.appdata scope only for backup and restore.
Google account and Google Drive access is used only to authenticate you and to create, update, retrieve or restore the CarLog backup. CarLog does not sell Google user data and does not use Google user data for advertising.
CarLog does not sell or rent your vehicle data or Google user data to third parties. The optional backup is stored in your Google Drive application data storage through Google's services.
Local CarLog data remains on your device until you delete it through the app or remove the app/data from your device. Google Drive backup data remains in the application's Google Drive storage until it is replaced or removed.
CarLog uses HTTPS for web services and Google's authentication mechanisms for Google account access. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
CarLog is not directed specifically to children and does not knowingly collect children's personal information through a separate registration system.
This Privacy Policy may be updated when CarLog's functionality or data practices change. The date above indicates the latest update.
For privacy questions regarding CarLog, use the developer contact information provided on the application's Google Play listing or OAuth consent screen.
